Pina Bausch’s Danzon: a work she created in 1995 about her observations during her travels in Cuba. I can relate to this as I would like my work to be influenced by my roots. Danzon is a cuban dance form and it also means to dance. Her piece is a response her travels in Cuba but also her observations,” to practise kissing is to cut an orange in half. Eyes must be shut, and the tongue goes inside…”
